Plug boot touching LG header
Anyone else find this issue? Newly installed LG Pros and GM red plug wires with stock metal boot covers. The top of the silicone boot rests right against the headers on both forward cylinder sides. I wrapped them in aluminum tape so not sure if any melting has happened. Poor header design?

I have LG pro headers and the spark plug boot/wire is very close on my passenger side. I used heat socks- a woven glass material/tube they slide over the wire.
common problem with headers of all types.
spark plug wires with an angle boot provide a little more clearance.
look at vengeance wires.

I installed the XSPower headers earlier this year and had the same problem, the boot just rested slightly on the header, and I had it wrapped in a sleeve. It still burned through and roasted/cracked the boot and the wire. I ended up going with the MSD wires with the boot that's bendable, worked out great. No problems since, much better fitment, for my application anyway.

I keep pulling it away from the header, but that doesn't work. I have about 12k miles on it and no problems yet, but I will replace the wires with an angle boot type. Thanks for the recommendation on vengeance wires.

Same problem here with xspower headers. Wrapped the problem primaries with header wrap and put the sleeves on all the plug wires. Amazon has good prices on the sleeves, check there.
