Default Replacing Front O2 Sensors

With Stock manifolds, how hard is it to replace front sensors? What has to be removed?

As I recall from when I installed headers a number of years ago, the front sensors will easily remove from the stock manifolds with an open end wrench. Just need the car up so you can access them. Connectors are clipped to the frame rails. Probably one of the easier cars I have removed O2's from.

Probably not a bad idea to apply a small amount of heat at the "bung" area
prior to trying to loosening them?

Most often they are in there pretty tight.
I found the heat in that area, helps in their removal.

Replaced mine this weekend, on LT headers though. My original connector plug had gotten distorted due to heat. So even if I did want to pay the premium price for ones with the OEM connector I wouldn't have been able to connect them to my original wire harness. I purchased the Bosch O2 sensors that came with a splicing kit. The sensors had a good amount of wire on them and I didn't trim any of it so I could have longer wires and be able to move the connectors further away from the collectors. I used something called "Cool Tape" to wrap the wires, it says it's good to 1500* F. Then used metal zip ties to hold them away from the headers, Don't trust plastic zip ties that close to the exhaust system. Don't know if this offers you any real help though as I'm not familiar with the OEM exhaust manifolds.

If they don't break loose fairly easily, use a torch. If you don't you will ruin the threads! There are inexpensive thread chasers if you get in trouble.
