Too high oil pressure
My C5 pegged the oil pressure gage today. The digital readout reads 112 PSI. What is causing the high oil pressure? Could it be the relief valve or the bypass valve? Are these difficult to replace myself? I have some mechanical experience, but never had this problem before. Thanks

Common problem on the LS engines. It is the oil pressure sending unit behind the manifold that has gone bad. Do a search and you will see three or four ways of replacing it.

Oil pressure sending unit failure. Search the forum for many replacement options. Its really not that bad to do yourself but the dealer will want an arm and a leg.
