Windshield seal blew off (partially), how to fix?
So I partially blew off my upper windshield seal and I'm wondering if I just stick some adhesive in there and smash it back together or what? Is a new seal cheap and easy to come by? Pre-cut to length? What adhesive do I use? What does this seal actually do? Is it a cosmetic piece or does it serve a real purpose?

I had the same issue with this when I built my car. The seal is cheap and come close to length, but need trimmed. I could not get a proper fit till they did it when I had the windshield replaced for other reasons. The seal has a adhesive strip in it, but the sides pinch under the trim. I went through 2 or 3 of them. It was a PIA for me.

any windshield company will prob glue that with some windshield glue for free if you swing in. Elite/Safelite auto glass local to me has hooked it up for me before.

Drifting
The windshield strip/molding part number is 10427732. List price for the part is $26.12, and I picked it up for $17.98. Part number and prices were as of last September, and is for a 2003 Z06. I seem to recall that the hardtops have a different part number than coupes or convertibles, but I'm not totally sure.
