A/C compressor control question
If the A/C compressor is shutdown by the low/high pressure switch, does the compressor light on the control head go off?
I saw a thread about high side pressure getting too high and causing the compressor to shutdown resulting in temperatures going up, but did not know if you could tell inside the car, or if the only way to tell if the compressor was off is to actually see if it is turning?

On the C5, the compressor does not cycle under normal operation.
I am fairly sure the compressor light on the console flashes when it cannot come on (like when ambient temp. is too low, or when the freon is low), but I was not sure if it also flashed (or went off) when the compressor cuts off due to high discharge pressure.
For example, if at idle the high pressure builds and cuts off the compressor, can you tell from the light on the inside control head?
