Default Service traction control

Hey all,

For a while now, every so often when I turn my 01 corvette on I get a message saying service traction control/abs. Was wondering if anyone can help me with getting rid of it?

I'm having the same issue intermittently on my '01, getting code C1214 I think (you should pull yours and see what you're getting). I have decided I'm having the EBCM failure that appears to be fairly common in these cars. Can be very expensive (north of $1,000) at stealership to remove and replace to a couple hundred to send it to ABS Fixer for repair, to time and effort as noted in the link below. Check it out at:

Check the link in post #2. Good information! Your ebcm needs to be replaced or fixed. Having it fixed is a much better option price wise. Pull the module or pay someone to remove it for you and send it to one of the many abs fixers listed on e-bay.

Check the sensors at the wheels. I had the same intermittent issue and cleaned the connectors and it hasn't happened since. Just an idea.
