Default Traction Control / Active Handling / ABS check lights

Starting new thread.

I have researched but could not find my answer.

I have 2002 corvette with the DIC display showing control / active handling / abs check light. I removed the EBCM and resolder the common contacts. Reinstall it and clear the codes. I'm still getting the following codes C1241, C1242, C1261, C1262, C1263, C1264, C1266, C1268, C1271, C1272, C1273 & C1274.

I have not replace the common relay because it not throwing the C1214 code.

Does this mean I need to replace the EBCM unit?

Thanks,
Robert

Have you looked up the DTC codes to see what they pertain to?

Yes, checked the DTC codes and most of them referring to EBCM.
It a 2002.
I have not driven after clearing but these codes pop up when first turn the key to on position.

If I remember correctly there is a big thread on EBCM issues on here try to search for it... I could be wrong but I feel like I remember reading it..

Rob...the lights coming on when you turn the key , is normal. I have the same problem, and I think the EBCM will have to be changed.....money job.

I am displaying a C1214 DTC code. on my 2002 corvette. Does this mean I have to change the EBCM UNIT?

Most of those codes are referring to problems with the BPMV pump, esp with the C1242 code (BPMV pump motor ground circuit open). I'm far from an expert in this area but I would look closely at the pump before replacing the ebcm. Inspect the connector between the ebcm and the pump. Worse case you are looking at replacing both. Service manual would help here.

The C1214 can be fixed by sending the unit to ABSfixer or you can fix it yourself by following the threads here on this forum. Just do a search for it. Been discussed a hundred times.

I just went through this with my 02 with 28000 miles. Sent unit to absfixer on Tuesday afternoon UPS they had unit back to me on Friday. Put unit on and everything perfect. This was a 150.00 fix which was awsome. I just ordered a C7 and it should be here by the end of the month.
