Default '98-'02 Exhaust Compatibility

I'm looking to pull the ARH's off my '02 A4 and put the exhaust back to stock. I have an offer to procure the exhaust manifolds from a '98. The exhaust manifolds for the '98 are the SS sheet metal and the H-pipe has a different part number than the '02. Anyone know if the '98 manifolds and h-pipe will fit an '02 as a set? I've never tried a cross-fit exercise on these. I guess the AIR and dip stick mount setups would need to be modified on the passenger side.

Yes, as you figured just the air and dip stick are different. You can't inter-mix the manifolds and mid-pipe but they'll install as a set.

Agree, the manifolds and H-pipe will both need to go on. the AIR pipes are different and the Oil Dip stick are different.. so its not really a straight swap... but it can work... be best if you found another 00+ car to swap from.
