Default repair price ?

Took my car in to a Corvette specialist today with a $2600 estimate.
A seal in the tranny ( A4, its been leaking ), new tranny filter, replace the harmonic balancer and seal (leak), replace the upper and lower oil pan gaskets ( leaking). I think they are all pretty labor intensive, but does this sound like a fair price? The leaks are all legit. Not complaining, just asking the more experienced people here?

you would have to break down the hours and the $ per hour the shop charges.

you may consider doing more if you're that deep honestly.

More "preventive" maintenance while everything is torn apart is what I take from it.

There are a lot of things I am comfortable doing on this car, and while this may be doable for a lot of you, at this stage in my life ( 60 +), I don't mind supporting others since I can afford it and the learning experience is not that important to me as I have other hobbies I enjoy as well, but thanks.

if the trans is out, the rear main seal is cheap. your driveline couplers should be inspected and replaced if cracks are found

all the 3 seals on your rear end should be changed

this stuff adds very little time to the job when the car is all apart

sounds a little steep to me.. might want to check around with other trust worthy shops. there are a few good vette shops in TX. maybe others here might be able to chime in or post for "Repair shop recommendation in TX" and see who replys.

Default C5 Transmission & Oil Leaks

Took my 04 Coupe to local Chevy Dealer for the same work. Price tag is $2100...labor was majority of cost as the entire rear end has to be dropped. Having them replace all seals.... mileage = 49500. To much work for this 'shade tree mechanic'.
