Transporting motor. Input needed
What kind of setup have you all used to transport a longblock to the machine shop.
Picked up an old tire I could set it on and strap it in but Is cracking the batwing oil pan a concern?

Pull the heads and it will fit in a trash can. Or left intact, I've covered with a 90 gallon recycle bin. You could also make an engine crate. I've never considered the batwing fragile unless maybe it gets hit.

I built a pallet for mine as I assumed they would use a fork lift to pick up the motor, they used a cherry picker. With a nail gun and few scrap 2 x 4 it only took a few minutes. I will reuse it when I pick it up.
