Default Oil pressure Problems

OK I have a 98 coupe I just installed a new oil pump around 3 months ago and the sending unit a few days ago. Here's my problem on start up oil pressure is zero then after around 30 seconds it shoots up to normal but after that I can shut it down and restart it and it will instantly have pressure so I decided to drive it the first minute or so it drove great oil pressure was correct then all of a sudden it dropped and I heard the engine tapping very loudly so I shut it down my battery was still weak so I had To get jumped off when It started it read zero after a few seconds it went to around 15 psi and it wasn't tapping but I didn't drive it after that. Also it looks like the area around the oil filter was wet with oil

So many variables...... If it were me,,,,,, I would re-examine the oil pump O ring... Sounds like it not sealing properly.
