I installed the LCM5 last fall after I replaced my battery with a Red Top. Just today I started getting the Service Column Lock at every startup. My steering column does not lock but I though this mod would prevent the Service Column Lock message from appearing.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? Do I need the "Modified" version due to a finicky BCM?

Will do. Thanks. Should I worry about driving her in the meantime? I don't want to get stranded.

It will not lock on you because you have the lock motor disconnected by installing the LMC5. They just need to work with you so the BCM does not throw any messages.
