How to remove Knock Sensor Grommets
Tried searching but didn't find anything on this. I'm replacing the knock sensors in my '02, and the grommets in the bottom of the Valley Cover wells are totally "stuck" in there. I tried to gently pry them out, but no luck at all.
Does anybody have any tips on how to get these things out of there?
Thanks.

Burning Brakes
Hi
They might have been installed with some silicon sealer .
Could try a flat bladed screw driver , if you can get it pushed down between the rubber and alloy then use another screw driver and try and chase round the thing.
Could try some WD40 , penetrating oil etc .
Last resort would be a knife around the join .
I replaced that harness think it was around $60 , yeah not great but there if you need it .

I actually did purchase a new harness, being that mine looked a bit suspect.
The grommets that I'm struggling with are at the bottom of each well where the knock sensor screws onto the block. I just found where one guy used a socket/extension and a hammer to tap them out. I'll give that a try today.
