Pulled existing codes that show as current. P1571 under 10- PCM and U1040 under 60- ipc. There are no other codes coming up. Please help!

What were you doing when the lights came on? ie: on start-up, braking, after hitting a bump etc etc....

Lights have been on for quite awhile now. At first start up they may come on then go off then come back on again. While driving they do blink on and off once in awhile. They may blink sometimes while hitting a bump.

Does your cruise control function properly?

The B codes indicate you have a voltage supply problem. P1571 indicates the PCM isn't receiving a Desired Torque signal from the EBTCM. How that works is the PCM sends a voltage level to the EBTCM and when the rear wheels ares starting to slip the PCM toggles the signal to ground which tells the PCM to reduce torque. The U code might not mean anything. They are sort of common and don't usually mean much.

The B codes indicate there is an issue with the B+ supply to the left side door modules. Typically if there was a battery or other common voltage issue you would see codes for both doors. The P1571 code can also be caused by a voltage supply problem to the PCM or EBTCM.

Typically you only get one problem at a time. You seem to have 3 at one time. Very unusual unless there is a common issue causing all 3. Although the right side door isn't showing a voltage issue I think you may have a voltage level problem. I think you should check your battery voltage level with a DVM in the underhood electrical center, also check the battery ground at the frame. Check battery cable connections to see if they are corroded. If there is an issue with the voltage level/ground that just might clear up your issue.

Many of the electronics begin go through diagnostic procedures when you turn the key on and the EBCM is one of those. Battery and grounds are the place to start with this problem.
Ok guys, checked both terminals on battery and they were clean and tight, chassis ground was clean and tight, also had the battery checked out on a dvm and it read 12.47. Going to go check two other grounds behind each headlight. Anything else I can check? And by the way how do you post pictures of your car on the forum?
Thx again all!

To insert pics, start a new thread then just click the icon "insert image" above then upload the pics from your computer. The icon is yellow and shows grey mountains and grey square in top right corner.

Did you ever resolve this? Have same issue and codes. I suspect it is the EBCM module.

I've been told it depends on what codes are showing up on your dash. I'm still currently working on mine. Read the prior posts and see if there is any similarities

Can you please tell me in detail where the ground is under the battery? Do I need to remove the battery to get to it? Thx!
