Default Question on LS 7 starter??

Am shopping online. Saw NAPA has rebuilt starters for 2006-2013 LS 2's, LS 3's and LS 7's(same part number) for around $85. But a starter for a 2003 ZO6 is $179.

Will a LS 7 starter work? If not, why? I am currently using a LS 6 starter on my LS 7 block. it fits and worked fine until a few days ago, so am shopping for a starter as to why I am asking. Can't seem to find the answer but thought all LS starters were the same?

TIA. Best. Tom.

You would think they are all the same no? I know one can use a LS1 Truck Starter on a C5 so why not a LS7 Starter ?

Thanks. Yes you can. You just need to replace the shorter bolt from the LS 6 starter with a new longer bolt. The longer bolts from a LS 2, LS 3, LS 7 are the same part number as the LS 6 long bolt.

Best. Tom.
