Replacing the Oil Pressure Sending Unit - What Else Should I Do?
I am pulling the intake manifold on my 1997 C5 the weekend after next in order to replace the oil pressure sending unit. I am also replacing the vacuum lines because they are original equipment.
What else should I do in terms of preventative maintenance as long as I am doing this?
Thanks.

I'm subscribing to this thread because I just picked up a 97 c5 as we'll and the oil pressure sender is on my to do list.
I am planning on replacing the intake gaskets while the intake is off as well.
Take care,
George

I second that. Put in an extension so that your oil sending unit is a 5 minute replacement that will not require removal of intake, because you WILL be replacing it again. Do a search on the forum for instructions. It's easy, the parts cheap and it will be a Godsend. I did it, and never looked back.
