Default Any way to view clutch without removing transmission assembly?

Hello,

I just bought a 03 z06 and it has an aftermarket clutch, but I do not know what brand it is so I was wondering if there was an access panel or a small hole I can put an inspection camera into so I can view the clutch.

Thanks,

AJ

There is and inspection/access panel at the base of the bell housing you can pull off that will give you access to the clutch.

here's a stock setup without the torque tube in place with the cover still on. You don't need to remove the torque tube to remove the inspection cover.

Here's a pic of mine with the torque tube off that shows the lower panel removed to expose the clutch.

Does the exhaust come in the way of the panel?

Yes, you'll need to drop the H-pipe but not a big job. It is heavy so use a friend or a jack to spport it.

if you have longtubes be prepared to drop them in order to gain access to all of the inspection cover bolts... you don't have to totally remove them from the car just remove the header bolts and lower the headers down a bit and you should be good
