Great car or not???
Hey everyone been getting great info from all of you since buying my 6th Corvette (May of this yr. 99 coupe) with 50000 miles. My last was in 86 when I bought an 85 coupe. I found this site when I just came home from the Dealer with my new/older vette. I washed it before putting it in the garage and no start, you guessed it column lock message. Fixed it with the LMC5 (thanks to all of you) ( by the way it’ a 6 speed manual) Now after months of reading posts I’m thinking wow are all these problems am I looking to have or have I bought a really good car????? it is in great shape. Paul from Michigan

Melting Slicks
Like with any other car/generation, they have their own quirks.
Some are common, some you may never experience.
Compressing 14 years of C5 ownership to a 15 minute conversation which included service issues, it would probably scare anyone.
but in the longer run, way more fun days than anything else.
there's still nothing like it. Enjoy

I have already done a lot, MGW shifter, cat-back,CAI, fat-matted the interior, etc. bought a new Monte SS in 07 and I have worked on the vette 100 times more and your right I love working on it. Almost the day I got the Monte I wanted another vette, mostly had an uncontrollable desire to have a manual trans, have no disappointments driving this car!!!!!!!
