Default TAC Module Replacment with pictures

I replaced my TAC module today, here are some pictures if anyone else needs to do this.
I have a 1997 Auto Vette with 39K miles.

I drive up on a ramp I made to be able to jack up the car:

Then I disconnected the Negative Battery Terminal:

Remove the wheel:

Remove the Access Panel , it has multiple screws holding it in place:

The TAC Module is the black piece held by 3 screws:

Here's another Pic of the TAC Module , I was able to pull the Fender a bit:

Here is a picture of it pulled out of the Car, it looks Original to me.

Another Pic of the TAC Module showing the plugs , look like there was no corrosion:

The module is out:

Here is one of the connections , looks good to me:

Here is the other connection:

Picture of the New TAC Module:

Excellent documentation and pictures... What were your issues and sympyoms that pointed you to TAC Module replacement? Just asking

NOTE! 97 & early 98 C5 had possible defective TAC modules. Good thing you replaced it.

Nice job, thanks. You are in NY but the corrosion on that aluminum looks like it's a Florida car...or winter salt?

I had a "reduced engine power" and code 1516 show up on me , also car almost stalled 3 times over the last 2 weeks of driving. The rpms would drop to 200- 300 and the accelerator pedal was non responsive.

After researching on the forum, the TAC was a possibility and mine looks original.

As of last night , the only code I had was 1571 , which seems to always occur on the 97 model.

Good job on troubleshooting... I had the same code and same issues on my 98 Coupe. Got stranded too many times to count. Ended up being a combo of issues. Reduced engine power mode sucks!

Weak Battery
Bad TAC
Corroded chassis grounds.

After I got all that sorted out, it ran like new again.

The car has spent it's entire life on Long Island, NY. The previous owner had it garage kept also and never drove in rain or snow.

The corrosion looks like battery acid issue in the past. The battery tray was rusted as was some of the area below the battery.

All of my grounds are in great shape, no corrosion at all.
