Assessories stay powered after door opens
I thought I had this fixed but the problem is back. The passenger door works normally but the drivers door does not turn off the accessories when opened. I have to walk around and open/shut the passenger door in order to turn off the radio and other accessories. If I don't then these will stay powered until the battery does dead.
Any ideas what this problem could be...

Burning Brakes
my guess is the door switch that tells the car the door has opened has failed. I dont recall if these are built in to the door latch separate switch. does your open door indicator come on when you open the drivers door... i bet it doesnt and i bet it will when you open the passenger door.

The LOCK/LATCH assy in the drivers door has an OPEN /SHUT sensor that may or may not be working correctly. If you open the drivers door windoe, shut the door, set the alarm and reach in and open the door, the alarm SHOULD go off.
Open the door whit the engine running/ E brake off and see if you get a door AJAR message.

I did but no luck
I tried it. Sometimes is works and sometime it doesn't. It's interesting thought because when it doesn't work I always know in advance. The climate control light is dim. Every time it goes dim I know the door will not turn off the accessories. But it works fine when the climate control is bright. Odd I know. When the accessories are on the alarm does not sound.
I'll change the latch/lock and see what happens. Thanks

Dim climate control. Theres TWO things that can cause this issue.
One is loose/ cold solder joints on resistors on the main board inside the module
The other is low voltage. If you are suffering from a low voltage issue, all sorts of things will not work correctly.
Get a volt meter and measure the voltage on the HVAC Fuse. There are two small slots on all your fuses. Those are test points. Measure the test points to GROUND during one of these DIM display moments. When the module has a display. You should see FULL battery voltage.
If the voltage on that fuse is LOW the Ignition Switch is your issue.
