$4300.00 stealing! I just checked one labor guide, it calls for 9.3 hours including pilot bearing and flywheel. That's $1395.00 labor @$150.00 an hr (I know CA. Labor rates are high), with another $1000.00 for a good clutch and flywheel after mark up puts you at $2395.00 P&L plus tax and shop supplies.
It would be a good time to open the torque tube and check/replace the bushings.
I hope you get some good referrals!

My quotes include tube bushings, master, slave, stock clutch kit nothing special. the one place told me 15 hrs to do the clutch master,CUZ the whole dash had to come out??? HUH really is it for real and 12-13 hrs for the rest of the install,I don't mind getting a little taken but not BONED.I would hav done this myself in the past but have had double knee replacement and the "OLD Hands and knees position don't work for my 56 yr old *** anymore

This is too far from you but might help you in getting pricing info. (Will not let any other Corvette mechanic touch my car):

If the $3000.00 quote includes the master and tt bushings, it's sounds fair.

It wouldn't hurt to check with a chevy dealer near you. I got a labor quote of $950 from a dealer in southern CA. I sourced parts myself, and paid about $700 for LS7 clutch pkg, slave, and remote bleeder.

Guess What my longtime Chevy dealer quoted me a price of 2750.00 all parts minus the flywheel.Service mngr said resurfacing the original if possible saves money and you know it is balanced to the engine from the factory.I have known these guys for 30 years and it never crossed my mind to do the work since I bought the car used and never had to deal with warranty work as in the past. Thanks For your input guys.

Man, that's ridiculous. There must not be much competition around there. Are there any corvette clubs in the area? If so, you might be able to get some leads from them. You could also post this in the regional forums for north/southern CA. Hope you find someone reasonable.
