Default Please help!!

Just did lt headers and full exhaust and now this tapping sound is happening. I didnt have the valve covers off and it didnt have any problems beford the swap. I was very careful when pulling the intake off to make sure nothing fell down the ports. What the hell could this be?

Oh and i pulled the fuel pump fuse abd disconnected the spark plugs to turn it over and didnt hear anything. Please help guys.

Definitely an exhaust leak. I didn't see your air pump tubes or connections. Make sure those are connects or sealed off.

The camera moves pretty quickly so details are hard to pick up.

Hope that helps.

Me too. OP, did you rotate the motor by hand at all or with the starter? Sometimes doing that will collapse the lifters and they will take several minutes to pump back up.

I would run it some more and see if it goes away. While running, feel around for escaping exhaust.

I have attached a link of what mine sounded like with a loose spark plug. I'm sure you have already checked this but the sound is similar, just a little higher pitched than yours. Good luck!
