Default MGW Shifter / original or flat stick version?

After a lot of research I decided to go with the MGW shifter for my 04 Z06. I just visited their website to make the purchase and noticed they have a new version, the flat stick. Anyone run one of these? They look great, but do they perform the same?

I spend so much time researching parts/mods that by time I decide to pull the trigger on a purchase something new comes out

Had the standard one for about a month... Don't recall the flat version.

VERY happy with the std version. I got the gripper shift ****.

Will be changing over to a C6 ****. at some point.

Going to upgrade fluid, and try the anti-venom mod next spring.

Easy install. No noise, no heat. no issues. no regrets..

Yeah the std version has proven itself. Im curious about MGW's newest version though. I guess it hasn't been out long enough to have many reviews. I may just go ahead and get it based on the ONE review I found.

I called MGW. They said performance wise it is the same. The new version is just for those that want the classic muscle car shifter look. Im ordering mine today

Since my build plans have stealth in mind, I decided to go with the original version. Im loving the shifter, it's worth every penny.
