Default Drivers seat problem

This past weekend, as I was adjusting the seat, it made a "pop" noise and the seat dropped slightly but enough for me to feel it sink. After that it didn't move forward or back. A few hours later after restarting the car I did get it to move but it seemed to be struggling and making a grinding noise. Also seemed to twist a bit. Any ideas?

The best way is to unbolt the seat from the car and take a look. It does sound like somehow the threads on the worm gear jumped (that pop sound you heard) and now the seat is slightly torqued (twisted) causing the electric motor to work harder. If you can, avoid any further seat adjustments until you get the seat out and examine the damage.

Good luck. The seats are quick to remove, just have to be careful to not damage anything with the rails when removing/installing the seat.
