Tried disconnecting battery .. 2 1/2 hours off ....

Does the Security indication go OFF when you put the key in the ignition?

Is this an Auto or Manual? Could be the clutch or auto neutral/park safety switch or the Theft Deterrent relay

At home I have a jumper procedure to see if it is actually starter related or not.

Could be the ignition electrical switch also. We will need to systematically do some diagnostics.

Try to start in Neutral versus Park to see what happens.

Here is a way to jumper around everything and activate the starter. If it works then we can narrow down what the problem is. If you do this just put the ignition in OFF and remove the jumper once the starter works. DON' FORGET TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK SINCE YOU ARE BYPASSING EVEVRYTHING.

The jumper is just used to get the starter going. Remove it as soon as it rotates.

Go to Post 66 for the info. You can also start and run the car if you like later by putting the ignition in the ON position and jumpering like the Post says.

I know several people that have used this and it worked perfectly.
