Default Battery seepage

hi folks I understand we ideally use sealed top starter batteries in our

c5's due to ecm located directly below it. Has someone thought of/used

a protection umbrella for this? How about aluminum foil, plastic spray

coating? I realize we still need to constantly monitor the battery for

cracks etc. Even opti's can break. any ideas? thx

ps: did gm change location for the 6's,7's?

Been there did that ! Since the acid runs down the cables the PCM still gets damaged. The mat does NOTHING to prevent the PCM from getting damaged.

Battery acid will leak through aluminum foil.

Get yourself an acid glass mat (AGM) battery and call it a day.

Best bet and they last forever if you keep the car on a tender when it's in the garage.
