Default Clutch Info: GM vs Luk

To my knowledge GM outsources their LS7 clutches from Luk. Correct?

So...? Is the (Luk LS7 Clutch Kit)... 100% Identical to the (GM LS7 Clutch kit)?

If so, is it safe to say if I order a Luk clutch kit I would be getting the same quality as a GM clutch kit?

I think you are correct.

If you order the LUK, you'll need to think about a flywheel, and then have the assembly balanced.

Thank you for your help!

Its going in a FRC, I would like to keep the weight the same as a LS1/6 clutch. So I was planning on going with a lightened flywheel. Its going to be 99.9% street, how light is to light? I would like it to drive/sound like stock without any chatter

Since you are street driving and not road racing, I would definitely stay with a steel FW.

SOOOOO CORRECT!!!!! I have a highly modded 2002 ZO6. I installed a SPEC twin disk. Lighter fly wheel.

Trust me.. Street Driving/ocassional FUN! STICK with the OEM weight steel flywheel. If you want the engine to rev faster, install 390-410 ratio gears!!

The C5/C6 Differential is a completely different animal and doesn't rebuild like any other differential.

You have to have a Kent Moore set up tool. My recommendation would be to either send you diff to a re-builder or find one that has already been rebuilt and purchase that.

I can highly recommend an excellent rebuild shop
