Default Which remflex header gasket - 1 3/4" headers

Fighting a header leak where the header bolts to the head. Going to try remflex gaskets and studs. There are two remflex part numbers, one for 1 3/4" and one for 1 7/8". A quick measurement of the exhaust port on the head shows 1 5/8", I would assume the 1 3/4" gasket would the correct one to use. Anyone use these gaskets and if so which one?

I haven't heard of these gaskets. I use the stock gm gaskets. No problems on 2 cars and 8years. I suspect one of you header flanges is warped. Have you put a straight edge on the header flange to check for warpage?

I don't doubt the flange is warped, just trying to fix it on the cheap BC my build is costing a lot. Some c6 guys have to use them on their kooks, I have xs power headers so you get what you pay for in my case.

How long have you had the headers? Did you buy them new? Maybe you should contact the manufacturer about getting them replaced.

Had them 4 or 5 years I can't recall. Bought new and I believe was one of the first sets shipped. They changed the design so I highly doubt I get anything from it. I will be changing to ARH soon enough. A welding shop will be removing the AIR tubes so I will have them check the flange and if its not too much work fix it. Paired with the remflex gaskets I should be OK for a season or two.

I measured the stock gasket and it is 1 7/8" so that is the proper size to use.
