Water Leaks
It has been raining hard for the past two weeks, car has been siting outside. I went to grab something from the car and I see that its wet everywhere in the car, floors, roof liner, doors, basically everywhere.
Its a 2003 z06,
Here are some photos, is it normal to be enough space to fit nickle in the first photo?

Hi
Yeah there is a gap along that piece of trim.
Not to add to the problem but if you can get someone to spray water onto the roof ,one side at a time with you inside the car might narrow down where the water is coming in.
I have had two zo6`s and both had a leak at the top corners ,roof to windshield .
You might be able to remove the rubber weatherstrip without damaging it , see if there are any signs of water between that and the metal rail (retainer).
I replaced the whole lot , metal retainers , roof windshield mouldings and seals .
The small plastic mouldings running down the side of the window b pillar might be ok ,one of those left, right not sure which has been discontinued so if you do remove it try not to damage it they are stuck fast.
Mine were leaking between the roof and the metal retainer so had to remove them to reseal , that's not good because the retainer strips bend real easy (stuck on) when trying to remove .
I should have a few pics if that would help

You better check the area around the I/P fuse box/BCM to make sure it is not wet. If it is you may have clogged udders that are not draining water from the windshield cowl area. Many a BCM has been damaged by water intrusion there.
If there is water there and you don't remove the panel and dry it out it will mildew on you.

Yikes! I'd say I feel your pain, but I think I've just got a small "scratch" in comparison with your leaks.
As another Bay Area guy with a Z06 that lives outside, we too are having leak problems.
Our hatch looked like yours, covered in moisture, and I found the rear drains were mostly blocked on both sides resulting in water flowing past the hatch seal into the center well... I think I have that leak addressed after cleaning out a ton of leaves and composted material, even had some plants growing from seeds in there!
This summer we noticed a piece of the drip rail had broken off on passenger side near the B pillar junction. It was not causing any leak (we knew of) until the big storm last week. Paid a local independent Corvette shop to replace the entire piece and we're nice and dry inside the passenger side now. Costly but worth it!
While checking to be sure the passenger side leak was fixed I found the driver side leaking at the B pillar too. Worse than the passenger side actually. I haven't quite figured out how to remove the upper rear interior trim piece (like you have removed), but I'm hoping I can track down the leak when I get it removed... I think the driver side leak is due to a weather stripping problem, but I can't quite tell. Hoping I can address this leak myself and save a few bucks...
In the meantime I've ordered a new covercraft weatherguard hp cover. Expensive but we had great luck with the last one. It lasted 6yrs and as luck would have it, it literally fell apart in time for the big storm.
Good luck!

I want to be able to address as many leaks as possible. I was able to find my old mustang fastback car cover that is water proof. So I got it covered until it stops raining.

Hey Ruffian,
I am in the bay area too and have the same problem with my 02 Z.
Tried to get it fixed with one bay area Corvette specialist and had no luck.
Which mechanic did you work with to fix the window seal/roof leak problem?
I heard that the parts for this project are about $400 per side wholesale and you get good at it after doing 3 or 4. Yikes!!

I have a worse leak on the driver side and the reveal is in good shape, so I think it's the weatherstrip. But haven't tracked it down yet. May have Max deal with this one too... will see.
