Default WIDEST Wheels and Tires for a Flared C5?

Did about a half hour of searching and reading, didn't find the exact answer I was looking for.

Currently I have flared rear fenders, stock front fenders. Stock rims all around, with 2" spacers in the rear.

What is the WIDEST rear wheel/tire combo I can go without mini-tubbing? Backspace/offset would help too, if anyone has those numbers. Just trying to figure it out before I spend the bucks on a measuring tool.

A few shots of the car are below.

Anyone done this? Would love to figure out a way to get 345's on the rear but not sure it's possible. I'm pretty set on CCW SP500 wheels. 19 front/rear or 19/20 if I decide I like that look better.

You could mini tub in addition to the flares but I would think tire choice would be very limited and gains minimal.

You can run 315/30 18s up front.

I have 19x12 with 55mm offset with stock fenders. It sticks out 1". Using that as a guide, you can use a 19x13 with 42mm offset. This keeps the same inner clearance and adds the extra inch outwards.

Good info, thanks guys. Pretty settled on CCW SP500 wheels now. Did some reading on front widths, seems that for a street car 275 is about the widest you can go in the front before you start getting tracking issues over grooves in the pavement. With that in mind:

Front 275/35/18 x 9.5" = 25.6" tire height
Rear 345/30/19 x 13" = 27.1" tire height

Now, just have to figure out the mysterious science of offsets/backspacing.

My rear wheels are 18x13 with a 345 tire and nothing sticks out.I would have to check on the offset.

I think you have a typo here.
Stock rim give you 1 1/2" of space with the inner fender
So If you have stock rim with 2" spacer you should have 2+1 1/2 = 3 1/2" back space with the inner fender

Good thing he doesn't have a stock wheel. His wheel with no spacers would almost touch the inner liner. So with the spacer it is 2" away from it.

I know this as my c6 z06 wheels have almost the same backspacing at 8.82"

I have CCW 505a's 19 X 13 on the rear with 345/30/19 tires , with a 44mm offset. These wheels were specifically designed by John at CCW to accommodate a 2 inch flare, with 14 inch rotors, and rearbrake ducts coolers.

My car is tubbed and I run a C6 Z06 brake kit. I'm running a 360Forged Mesh8 Concave 19/20 with 275/30zr/19 up front and 345/25zr/20 in the rear. Before this set I was running a 18/19 HRE 540 set up with 295 upfront (a bit too wide and rubbing) and 345/30/19 in the rear.
Personally if I had to do it over again, I would like you go with an 18/19 set up. For me the look versus ride quality trade off has not been worth it plus the traction in my case has suffered.

Good luck to you and enjoy the wheels

Who makes the wheel if you don't mind me asking your rear wheels. I was wondering if that wheel and 19/375/30's would fit the back of my car?

Default Need your advice, thanks

Hello everyone,

Sorry !! I use google translate not speaking english
I'm going to fit wide rear fenders:

I would like to avoid using wheel spacers.

http://corvettecreationz.com/product...-rear-fenders/

I will iron my rear rims in 19'' to mount, as you note, 345/30/19 tires Rims in 13'' wide
On the other hand, what offset (ET: ? ) did you mount?

Thank you in advance for your feedback
