Radiator shroud with no condenser
Hi,
I removed the entire HVAC system from my 02 C5 Z06 race car and now that the AC condenser is gone, there is a slight gap between the shroud and the radiator on the side.
Should I make extensions to the shroud to close the gap or is it just fine as is? I guess cooling is going to be better without the condenser in front of the radiator so that shouldn't be too much of an issue but if someone has experience either way, I'd like to know.
Thanks and happy holidays

Closing any gap will improve the air flow thru the radiator. With that said, unless you have a heating issue I would not be concerned. My thought is you will not experience any heating issues with having a gap.

I removed my HVAC also and plugged that gap with some lengths of pipe insulation held on by push in plugs. Seems to work fine, but it may have worked fine without plugging the gap.
