Default BK harness bar won't fit--help

I'm installing a BK harness bar in my 02Z but can't get both ends bolted because it's too tight with the provided spacers. Has anyone had this problem? If so, what was your solution?

The only solutions I can think of are filing down one of the 3/4" spacers to something a bit shorter or replacing the spacer with a slightly shorter stack of washers. This seem less than ideal, but I can't figure out how to get the bar into position so that bolts on both ends screw in, because the B pillars seem like they're just a couple millimeters too close to each other.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Default

I managed to get it with an extra pair of hands and some pain. I put in a vertical mount and use it as a fulcrum to twist the bar into position. While I held it, a good friend drove the bolt in. Took a few tries, but together we got it done.

Although it was tough, the tight tolerances will be appreciated.
