Yes, this rear diffuser will require the rear bumper to work.

But the bumper does look great when it's done.

That is the only good looking rear diffuser. All the others look absolutely terrible on the c5...absolutely awful.

That's not a C5. Most of those C5 diffusers look like a loaded diaper.

I agree, we need to work on some more designs. I only asked about the C6 above because I'd like to see it on C5.

Are there any "real" diffusers available for the c5? By "real" I mean one that would actually give you the benefits of a rear diffuser...something a race car might have.

We don't have anything that you might find on a time attack car. Most rear diffusers are good for down force, our current line up for the C5 are mostly for looks. We do carry the C6 diffuser pictured above that will definitely add down force.

For some reason the c5 rear diffuser is impossible to make I don't know how many vendors say they are making one and they go away. I wouldn't want a c6 bumper on my rear just to have a diffuser that's just ridiculous and way to costly.

This guy is about to make some serious cash when he is done!!! he will be the first and only one on the market

found a shop here in florida that makes one

This is a 100% functional lower rear diffuser. A must for track days or that ultimate racing look. Bolts on in about 1 hour.
Weight is under 10lbs.
It is a easy bolt on. Trim of the lower factory bumper and our rear diffuser bolts in from the back side and has a brace and bracket that attaches to the lower control arm bolt.
Our Diffuser was designed around the B&B 2 tip Exhaust system but other 2 tip systems could work as well.

Based on information provided the diffuser pictured should attach to your zr rear diffuser requires that's made for the C5. The description from your website says the factory looking C6 diffuser fits the zr edition rear bumper or oem c6 rear bumper. Given this information is correct it should be a bolt on with your 2 pieces.

Let me add this to my post above. It will fit with a custom center exit exhaust. If used in a racing application straight pipes from a factory or aftermarket X-Pipe would be easy to fabricate. Also a used B&B C5 Bullet cat-back would be a good piece to start with to retain the "bullet mufflers" and fab downstream after the differential.

Additionally on the Extreme Dimensions website there are C6 Duraflex and C6 Carbon GT500 rear diffusers that look like they may accommodate C5 catback exhausts.

I know we discussed this on the phone, but to clear it up for everyone. Yes it will, you can install the ZR edition rear bumper with the GT Racing diffuser
