Default Aftermarket 2-row radiator leak from drain valve

I have an aftermarket 2-row radiator in my '02 coupe that's leaking from the drain valve. The radiator is similar to this one. What I think happened is the wing tabs on the end of the valve used to open/close it were oriented vertically and projecting slightly below the skid rails, and I drove over a speed bump which damaged the valve. I had to remove the wing tabs (which were loosely hanging onto the screw valve) and I tried tightening the valve with vice grips.

Is this valve repairable/replaceable, or do I need to spring for a new radiator (which was a b**ch to get in)? Would coolant "stop leak" products work? This morning there was a puddle of less than 8 oz. on the garage floor after driving it yesterday.

I assume the valve is threaded. If you have clearance issue you can just use a threaded plug.

Based on the reference link the valve looks a typical drain valve you can get at any auto store or hardware store.

Thanks dadaroo, that's what I'm hoping. I'll check today.

If it comes to that, I'll definitely have a shop look at it. I just prefer to try to save a few bucks and fix myself :-)

I found some 3rd party drain ***** at O'Reilly's for cheap, I think the 1/8" one is the one that fits, but I also got the 1/4" one.
