Default Diagnostic code 2723 Question

I've got the 2723 code, which I cannot get to clear.. It has something to do with the Theft Deterent System... Bacically the car will not start.. I've cleaned the ignition key as well as the sprayed electronic cleaner into the ignition key switch, trying to clean the contacts on the inside.. I've got the CLB bypass too.. Not sure where to start from here

Fairly common problem- there's a little switch inside the lock cylinder that reads the resistor on your key. The switch has fine filaments that are easily damaged (voice of experience). Switch replacement cost me about $500.

See the thread below for more info. Good luck.

Sounds like a lock cylinder issue..Pretty cheap got mine off Amazon for 45 shipped had new tumblers replaced for 30 bucks and also cleaned my ignition switch free. Agree - I was bent over - 100 miles from home - no tools, not a single luxury. Put the rental car and hotel on top was closer to $1000 when all was said and done.
