Default Which tires?

I have been searching threads and doing research on these two tires

Nitto Invo's and Toyo Proxes T1 Sport.

My driving style: Aggressive, mostly street. Mountain runs, hard in turns. Minimal spinning but I do kick it sideways ever so often. Drag strip (no burnouts) about 5 times each summer, usually do 2/3 passes.

Tire Goals: Overall good tire, performance oriented but I would like to be able to get 30k miles at least. Car is not driven in rain/snow; only dry conditions.

Saw many high reviews for the Invo's and I love the tread pattern. Tread wear and tread life was rated high.

Proxes have around the same tread wear rating if not higher. Not as many reviews found.

Any and all input is appreciated! Thanks everyone!

Hmm... I've heard the handling from the v12 is a little sluggish due to the sidewall compound being softer. How many miles did you get out of the v12? And the others?

im at 615 at the wheels so the rears don't last to long but still the hankooks lasted longer and handled better the ony other tire I would recommend is the nitto 555 they are a relly good wearing and handling tire

I really wish I could run the 555 but they don't make them in the size I need. Just Invo's. I'm leaning toward the V12 since they're a little cheaper and seem to perform pretty good.

Invo's will not give you 30K, I was running 275/35/18 and 305/30/19 rear and only go about 15K out of the rears which were rated at 220 compared to the fronts at 290 I believe. Switched over to the V12 Hankooks and could be happier. Rating is 290 and |I have about 12k on them now and should get another 12-15k for sure. I'm not as an aggressive driver as you but do like spirited drives often. You can't go wrong with Hankooks. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for your input, I'm going to go with the Hankooks. I believe they will fulfill my needs and with a 300 tread wear rating they should last a decent amount of time. I only put 5000-7000 miles on my car a year so hopefully I won't need tires too soon. If anything I'll just need rears!

I agree with the others about the Hankook tires. I run 275/35/18F and 305/30/19R Hankook V12's on my 98 and I am more than happy with them. Great tread, wear, and traction. You should be happy with them.

I'll be running 275/30r18 in the front with a 325/30r19 in the rear. Hoping these work out. My mechanic I use for my DD quoted me at just below 1050.00 for these V12's mounted and balanced.

That's a good price, I payed around 920 for mines M&B. I wanted to go with 325's for the rear but I'm running a 10.5 inch rim so I went with the 305 to be safe.

I'll be running a 12 inch wheel so 325's are a must! It's funny, I posted the same post on the C6 site and everyone says "Michelin PSS are the best and only tire" and the C5 guys, we all agree on the Hankooks lol!

Pilot Super Sports ARE better, and they're the best maximum performance summer street tire you can buy today (rain or shine), but how much do you need to get out of your tires? The Ventus V12s are a great tire for the money, and better than the Invo, 555, or T1S (all of which are old compounds, at least a decade). The PSSs in those sizes cost about $1350 shipped for the set; obviously, the V12s are going to save you quite a bit of money.

I'm installing V12s on my car right now; if I find that I'm pushing the limits of these tires, I'll be doing the PSS next; if not, I may just swap the rears for 325 V12s
