Default C5 EBCM intermittent problems

My EBCM keeps going on and off. Randomly while driving i will get the the abs, traction control and active handling service messages. I can drive 500 miles and it wont go off then some days it will happen every time i hop in the car. Anyone have any ideas. Also my car is a 99 6sp vert

My 2003 Z did the same. I just replaced it. There's no way around it!

Many reasons. Just replacing the ebcm is bad advice. You have to have the codes or it is just a guess and an expensive one.

Default Check battery, battery hookups, and alternator among other things

My C6Z was having random intermittent warnings, including AHS/TCS. Have a look at my post to get more details and also links to other posts you may find useful. For me, it turned out to be a flaky battery. It may be worthwhile to check your battery, battery hookups, and alternator.

There are also many other reasons, at least in the C6 cars. Some of them include faulty brake sensors and steering wheel position sensor. GM has even put out a Technical Service Bulletin 06-02-35-002B out for this on the C6. Maybe there is something for the C5 also?

Regardless of the reason, please keep in mind that it is critical to take care of the AHS/TCS warnings immediately. If indeed you are having AHS/TCS system problems, you can end up in serious trouble. Many folks have posted tales of horror of what happens when these systems misbehave.

Hope this helps, and good luck tracking down a solution!
