Default Fast turn signal?

Had a bad right front turn signal bulb. Replaced it and it blinks fast. Rear bulbs are good. Any ideas? Left side works fine.

Thanks
Mark

I would think that it's the signal switch it self. You know, the thing that clicks as the light flashes?

To add a little more information. The right turn signal and running light is a lot dimmer than the other side as well.

Geeze Mark, if it's not the bulbs or switch. I don't know. Good luck

Assuming you didn't have this problem before your old bulb burned out, the problem may be the bulb you installed. The new bulb could have a problem or you might have installed the wrong bulb. If I remember correctly either a #3157 or #4157 bulb will work. However, a #3057 or #4057 look exactly the same but could cause the problem you have. You could remove the right front bulb and check the #s to see if they match. If they do match, trade the bulbs right to left. If the problem moves to the left side the bulb is bad. If the problem stays on the right, then the next thing to check for is a poor or dirty ground for the right front light socket. Also, check the wires at the light socket to make sure they're not loose. Hope this helps you out.

Hope it is just a ground. I'll have to see tomorrow if I can track down where it is grounded.

The turn signal bulb filament is also the DRL. You may have an issue with the connector to the bulb which you should inspect if you don't find a ground issue.

If it is not one of those two we can pursue further. Also, verify that both rear right bulbs are at least flashing to verify one is not burned out.

The above referenced "switch that clicks" is not your issue. That is the flasher in the Hazard switch and if it was an issue you would have a problem with both sides not one.

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to pick up some contact cleaner today to make sure it is all good and clean. Then I'll attack all the ground connections I can find. Both rear lights work fine. This car has sat awhile so I'm thinking corrosion somewhere.

A typical issue is the DRLs can burn a hole in the top of the plastic housing and let water in.
