MT Pro 28" drag radial.
I pulled the liners out. I'm not crazy about how far forward they sit in the opening, but that will be resolved once I switch to the C6 cradle and control arms.

dumb question why is it some tires give the height like your example and then others are like 295/45/17, etc what's the difference? When you reference like that by height I have no clue what that even means could someone explain. Thanks

In your example, 295 is the width in MM. 45 is the aspect ratio - the relationship of the sidewall to the tread width. And, of course, 17 is the diameter of the rim it fits.

Typically, radial tires are listed in metric measurements.
Typically, bias ply tires are listed in inches.

The tires in my pic are 275/60/15, and they're 28" tall.

There are several tire size calculators online that you can play with to get a better understanding of the relationship between the two.

I was looking at nitto 555 295/45/18 they are 28.30 in tall . Do you guy's think they would fit without rubbing 18x10.5 wheels. The 99 frc is not lowered don't want to lower it but want to fill the wheelwell. Also was thinking 255/50/17 on front they are 27.09 in tall on 17x9.5 wheels. I can't get the front lowering bolts loose anyway !!!! What do you guy's think .

I used that size in a MT bias ply tire. I have cracks in both fenders. I think the shocks were set too soft though. I do not have flared fenders and my car is not lowered. The liners have been removed.

Currently, I'm using the MT 275pro radial. And my shocks are set stiffer. I don't believe I'm hitting the fenders anymore.

I really think it was a shock setting thing, not a tire size issue. And, again, my car is not lowered.

On both tires, the edge of the tire is just outside the fender, so rubber flys up all over the car during a burnout. Wish I had either flared fenders, or another 1" of back spacing on the wheels.
I plan to install flared fenders this winter.

Looking forward to seeing your car hit the track!

LETS SEE THOSE C5s ON 28" TIRES
Good Lord, I'm so very glad I misread that title, at first glance. I thought, for a moment, it read 28" wheels - something I hope and pray I never see on a Corvette !!

97 C5 on MT ET street Rs 305/45r18's. I guess that means 29's r possible on a stock C5! Glad it didn't end with broken fender pieces everywhere.
