Default Heater A/C Unit

I have a 2004, stock 350. Last week, my left heater control **** became extremely hot. Then I touched the right hand heater control ****. The right hand control **** was so hot, I could not touch it for more than a few seconds. The temperature was set at 81 degrees. I did smell a quick burning smell for a second or two before I raised the temp from 75 to 81. I turned off the heater and brought the car home. I started the car today and put the heater on. No heat on either ****. Any thoughts?

Yeah, you have a serious issue in the control unit. I would get another unit. Having a fire in the dash would not make for a good day.

If you need the info on how to access it I have that at home.
