Default C5 Aircon controls

Hi Friends,

I want to get another C5. I have heard the C6 has electric controls on the Ac/heater damper doors...and that these are a big problem especially in the 2005.

Question: Are the controls on all the C5 all vacuum?

With my 99, the vacuum line ran under the battery. At 6 years of age, the line corroded. Chevy relocated the line and installed new.

I looked at 2000 the other day and couldn't even see the vacuum line.

Thanks and the best all! Charlie (on his 72nd birthday)

I think the simple answer is no... here is a link for some good reading on the subject of A/C controls.
In my humble opinion you may have less issues if you get a 2001 or newer C5... several changes had been made and lots of "bugs" worked out by then... good luck and
HAPPY B DAY
