Default 85mm MAF

Im doing heads, cam, LS6 intake on my 99 LS1 car.

Would it be worth doing a late model 85mm MAF? Any real gains there or should I put my stock MAF back in and save my money?

Car will be tuned after I get it back together.

Thanks.

I've read many posts that say a stock maf is good for at least 500rwhp. Save your money.
