Default weld header

I have a set of KOOKs headers that the AIR fitting "blew off" leaving a 3/4-1" hole in the top of the header.
What type of welder do I need to get this repaired? I believe I can have someone weld a small piece of metal over it as long as the welder is competent and uses the correct type of welder.
Thanks

or you can weld the tube back on

if so, add some reinforcement angled metal plates or rod (you can use 3/32 tig rod)

If you're fortunate enough to retrieve the piece that came out, it will fit the irregular shape of the hole and he can weld it back.

Try looking on the end of the air tube where it's bolted on.

Just call Kooks, I'm sure you're not the first to have this problem

It was "blocked off" and not hooked to anything

I might try contacting KOOKs

Did the car backfire to do that? Just seems it would have cracked and you would have heard an exhaust leak for quite a while before that came all the way off.

Fyi. The original piece will be a lot easier to weld back in than a new piece. It might pay to keep looking for it. Surely you know roughly where it happened, no?
