Hell Bent On ZO6 Rims
If anyone has any thoughts on what a good reasonable priced tire size and selection would be for a set of C5 ZO6 speedlines that I already have going on my 1998 C5 convertible that will keep the traction control happy, any help would be apprecaited.

I installed Nitto NT05's (P275/40ZR17 and P295/35ZR18) last year and am very pleased with them, both wet and dry. However, I only drive the car on the street with some spirited driving in the mix, but no track time so I cannot attest to how well they would do there.

Any pics from the rear? I just ordered a set of Bridgestone re760 275/40/17 and 295/35/18. Im really excited for the new tire size and cant wait to see how they look! Have you had any issues with this tire size?

My concern is the traction control may be confused if the ratio between the front and rear tires is upset, was reading somthing on CF on this topic.

I've read the same thing - but have not had any issue with the tire sizes I installed. I believe that these tire sizes stay within the "window" of f/r ratio required (they must, or I would have a problem as would many others who have installed the same tires).

Thank you, I've also noticed there aren't many choices for the stock ZO6 front tire size of 265/40/17 however going up to 275/40/17 there many options, a friend has I think an 02 ZO6 that he has owned since new and it just passed the half million mile mark and it still looks great has the original engine and clutch he's a Bridgestone RE760's fanboy, neither of us due track days. Looks like either the Nitto's or bridgestones are on my radar.

Question, looking at pictures of the Bridgestones RE760's on ebay they appear to have a directional tread patteren but there is no mention of that, it didn't occur to me to notice my buddy's ZO6 tires last time he was in town. Obviously one side of the tire is going to be the inside so does this mean the tread is going in one direction on one side of the car and the opposite on the other?

NOTE: While initially appearing somewhat directional, the Potenza RE760 Sport tread design is only asymmetric, allowing tires to be mounted on either side of the vehicle.

Continental ExtremeContact DW in 255/40-17 and 275/35-18. They have a soft sidewall but stretching these slightly undersized tires will help them be more responsive. Great tires. If you want something more aggressive I've been really happy with Dunlop Direzza Z2 star specs in these same sizes. They're amazing in the dry and still work great in the rail. You'll feel like superman in the corners.
