c5 speedo not working

c5 speedo not working
Hi I have a 1999 C5 vett. And the speedo quit working. All the other gauges work. There are no codes, the speedo does not move when you turn the key on. It has an auto trans. The power windows work as does all the other power equipment. Any ideas on what to check or is the speedo motor bad. Thanks for any help

The SPEEDO is supplied voltage via the IPC. Its signal comes from the PCM and that interfaces with the speed sensor on the differential.
Seeing that you don't have power up movement, the very first thing I would check is the connection inside the IPC where the speedo connects to the ribbon connector. Also check to see that the RIBBONS are properly seated in the connectors. There are FOUR Phillips scres that connect the TAC and SPEEDO to the ribbon cable. Remove them and make sure that they are clean and tight.
