Guess I'll store them somewhere in the car. Thought I read somewhere on the forum they could be siliconed in.
Does anybody leave them installed??
They make some that are designed to leave in, they are all plastic and a little lower profile, but the kind you have, with the metal eye, are not meant to be left in. I guess you could silicon them in place but they would be more visible than what I think would be acceptable and I don't know that they would stay.

I don't leave mine in (home made from hockey pucks and Home Depot eyes). But then, mine don't stay in very well as it is; they will often fall out when I'm re-positioning jacks.
Why even bother with the eye lugs. I just set $2 hockey pucks on my jacks. That's it.
..good idea but there's no hockey puck store in Boulder City. I guess the eyes might make it easier for 4 point lift type jacks. No pucks slipping around.
I made a set of 4 for $6.28 with pucks and eyes. With the eyes screwed into the pucks far enough and they will stay in place. I had inadvertently left one on, and found still hanging in there two weeks later. I keep all four in a freezer ziplock bag in the drivers side storage bin.
darn it I have a knack for doing things the easy way, oh well less than a 20 dollar bill delivered, I hope it's a good puck anyway. guess I'll store 'em 'til needed..
