Cleanup of oil residue inside intake
Recently installed Elite catch can. Removed Honker intake assembly to pull upper radiator cover to blow out radiator and condenser. There is some oil film inside intake deposited prior to catch can install. What method and or product would be good to remove as much as possible before re-installing air filter assembly?
Thank you.
Chas.

You might PM Bill Curlee... he uses seafoam. I don't recall exactly what procedure he uses... maybe he'll give us a step by step tutorial on his process.. he may already have and I just can't find it..., so maybe someone that can will post it...

sea foam deep creep works really well, spray a can of that in there and let it set for about an hour then start the car up and run a bottle of regular sea foam through a vacuum source, that should get the majority of the crud out... catch cans work pretty good but usually will not eliminate all of the oil residue being introduced into the intake so it wouldn't be a bad idea to check the inside of the intake every once in awhile and clean as needed
