Yes you can lose your charge...
It's blowing air? Just NOT cold air...
I'd probably get the charging checked and go from there...
If it was a blend door issue you should get some kind of code...
Have you pulled codes?

Most compressors come with a guarantee of at least a year some even lifetime. I would go back to the mechanic and get it checked. As suggested earlier you need to use the dic and pull the codes.

Well i went to the mechanic and no possible leak was found, but this time he put in some dye, so he said bring back in a week so he can recheck, and yes their was one HVAC code, will recheck when i can

So was ac flat, no refrigerant? He shouldn't need dye to check for leaks, maybe to pinpoint one! The refrigerant will leak out if he left a leak last time or didn't look for one that was already there, it makes no difference if you were running it or not. Many cars sit long periods of time and the ac still works, if it was flat he needs to find the leak with a good electronic leak detector.

Good luck

He needs to find the leak, he should have found before. I'd be a bit upset if I'd spent $700 to fix the air and it didn't work this spring.

Well he said it was a bad compressor that caused the leak so he put in a refurbished one and since i only tested it for a day, it was kind of my fault that i did not bring it back quicker

You will know soon enough,,,,,, you find a leak buy putting in a small charge and boosting pressure with nitrogen then a "good" electronic leak detector. He can also check now with it charged up, a leak is easy to find with the right tools and knowledge.

Keep an eye on it

Good luck

It's not your fault in any way, I hope he didn't say that!
