I opened the headligh so I could see down in the area and just ran my hand down in there and make sure U release the little holder and turn. I have seen where guys go through the brake duck but my hands and arms aren't that small and it worked for me. Took all of 60 seconds

Through the brake duct... push the plastic bellows in and aside.
I find the entry through the opened headlight cover causes me to lose too much DNA.

Here is a video on how to do it via the duct.
The socket does have a release catch. I have a picture at home if you need it.
Remember lefty loosey from the back end view of the connector.
If a new bulb does not fix it let us know. Probably the socket from heat and water. The DRLs tend to burn a hole in the top of the housing and water gets in.
Dealt with two bad sockets in just the last week.

If you jack up the front of the car there is an access panel behind the spoiler. It has 5, 7mm hex head screws holding it. My hands weren't gonna make it through the brake duct. I needed to change out my light housings as the drls had melted a hole in the bottom of the housing.
