Default Autozone (BlueStreak) PCM?

In my quest to find a replacement PCM for my 98, I ran into Autozone selling this:

http://www.autozone.com/engine-manag...7121_551342_0/

At $112 + $95 core, it's fairly cheap, though local reprogramming is needed.

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with these units.

EDIT- I went to order it and it's not available Just figures. They probably ran out of cores. Back to square one.

In case you're still on the hunt, I had to replace the PCM on my 02Z a couple years ago and was VERY pleased with my transaction.

Their eBay store seems to be down, so they may no longer be an option but i got mine from spareecm on eBay (http://stores.ebay.com/SpareECM). If they are though, I can't imagine you'd find a better option.

If you provide the VIN, programming the PCM to your vehicle was included in the cost of a reman PCM for $89.95 (this was May of 2013). At the time, no one came ANYWHERE close to that.

Good luck!

Or you could let Doug @ East Cost Supercharging get you a new one, program it, and tune it for you. I don't remember what it cost me, but I do remember it was competitive, and the tune is worth it!
